Aircraft Categories Defined

To keep it simple, our definitions follow typical charter jet size categories (very light (VLJ), light, midsize, super midsize, large). Please note: generally light turboprops and VLJs will be for organ-only flights (meaning no passengers).

    • Turboprops

      • Light (1-2 pax)

        • Piper Meridian, any TBM aircraft

      • Midsize (4-6 pax)

        • King Air, Pilatus PC12, Piaggio P180

    • Jets

      • VLJ (2-3 pax):

        • Phenom 100, Eclipse Jet, Cirrus Vision Jet

      • Light (4-6 pax):

        • Bombardier Learjet 40 XR, 45XR and 70/75 models; Hawker Beechcraft 400; Embraer Phenom 300; Dassault Falcon 10; and Cessna Citation CJ1-CJ4, Bravo, and Encore

      • Midsize (6-8 pax)

          • Cessna Citation XLS, Columbus, and Sovereign; Embraer Legacy 450 and 500; Bombardier Learjet 60 XR or 85; Dassault Falcon 20; Hawker Beechcraft 750, 850XP, and 900XP; and Gulfstream 150 and 250

      • Super Midsize (8-10 pax)

        • Cessna Citation XLS, Columbus, and Sovereign; Embraer Legacy 450 and 500; Bombardier Learjet 60 XR or 85; Dassault Falcon 20; Hawker Beechcraft 750, 850XP, and 900XP

      • Large (10+ pax)

        • Bombardier Global and Challenger models; Dassault Falcon 7x; and Gulfstream G500, G550, and G650
