Pulse Charter Connect oversubscribes a seed round

A local organ transplant logistics company pulled in its biggest funding round to date.

Pulse Charter Connect, a Chicago startup that has become known as the "Expedia for organ transplants," announced a $2 million oversubscribed seed funding round on Wednesday, bringing its total funding to $3.3 million.

The round was led by Indianapolis-headquartered Ivy Ventures and Simplex Ventures, a firm based in Chicago, along with participation from Cedars Sinai Health Ventures, Belal Badat Ventures, Techstars and strategic angel investors.

The new capital will be used to scale operations and further expand the company's national footprint.
